WHAT IS KRAIMOD?
Kraimod is a digital union of fashion designers with the headquarters in Berlin, Germany. The union's main goal is to promote the creative ideas of people who are just starting their careers in the fashion business or who want to make a professional breakthrough in this competitive and very specific industry.
By means of our experience and a wide network of personal contacts, we implement the best ideas from all over the world into fashion designs, breaking all the conservative rules and encouraging cross-border cooperation. No matter where you come from or your gender, age, or professional background, you have the same chance as everyone else to start a career in fashion design. The only important things are your creativity and talent.
The main form of work at Kraimod is fashion design contests done in collaboration with successful fashion brands. An experienced team of fashion designers and merchandisers evaluates the contest entries and submits them to the brands for the final decisions. Some of the projects are conducted directly by Kraimod and, in most cases, are non-profit, promoting general interest in creative designing, cultural interconnections and educational exchange. We believe in the global future of fashion design, with equal chances for everyone to get noticed.
WHO CAN PARTICIPATE IN THE PROJECTS?
Kraimod puts no limitations on participation in the projects. That is the main idea of the Kraimod concept. You are allowed to take part in tour fashion designing projects and contests, regardless of your gender, age, country of origin, social status, educational level or professional experience.

Nevertheless, if you are under 16 years old, and you participate in projects that envisage remuneration in the form of money or a percentage of sales, we would need the official, written permission of your parents or parental organisation before you are allowed to receive any funds.
HOW DO I SEND MY DESIGNS TO KRAIMOD?
Designs can be either developed directly in a digital form or can be scanned or photographed in a good quality, depending on the type of designing most convenient to you. All designs should be send via e-mail.
HOW MANY DESIGNS AND SKETCHES AM I ALLOWED TO SEND?
Unless explicitly written in the fashion designing project or contest, there is no limitation to the number of styles you can send to Kraimod. The same concerns the number of sketches per style. Unless explicitly written in the fashion designing project or contest, there is no limitation to the number of sketches per style. Designers can send either one sketch (e.g., front look) or several sketches (front look, side look, back look, situational look, etc.).
WHAT IF MY DESIGNS ARE TO LARGE TO SEND VIA E-MAIL?
If your designs (photos or pictures) are too large to send via your current e-mail provider, you can use online upload services to transfer the data to us. As an example, you can use www.wetransfer.com.
COPYRIGHT OR WHAT HAPPENS WITH MY DESIGNS?
By participating in any contest, the designer agrees to Kraimod's general Terms & Conditions as well as each particular contest's Guidelines. Until the styles are chosen as the winners by the project committee, the designer keeps hold of the copyright. Once the styles are chosen for each particular project, the copyright transfers to Kraimod.

If after the application but before the final choice of the winning styles some contest styles are being used by the designer for any other external projects, the designer should immediately inform the Kraimod team, so we can take the given styles out of the competition.
IS COPYING THE STYLES OF OTHER FASHION BRANDS ALLOWED?
No. Designers guarantee the absence of copyright infringement in their entries for the contests. All designs containing plagiarism will be disqualified from the projects.
WHAT DO I RECEIVE FROM PARTICIPATION IN THE PROJECTS?
Each fashion designing project or contest has a special prize explicitly indicated in its Guidelines. This can be, for example, remuneration in the form of money, a percentage of sales, publications in the media, participation in fashion weeks or other events, diplomas, etc.
ARE INITIATIVE APPLICATIONS POSSIBLE?
Yes. You can send us your designs at initiative@kraimod.com. The Kraimod team will make the first evaluation of the presented designs and categorize them on the basis of product groups and general styles to offer them to the relevant fashion brands and fashion designing projects.
